Ask your self today

February 2nd, 2011

What am I grateful for in my life today?
Who am I grateful for having in my life today?
What opportunities am I grateful for today?

You are blessed, if you woke up this morning with more health than illness, you are more blessed than the millions who won’t survive the week.

If you have never experienced the danger of battle, the loneliness if imprisonment, the agony of torture or the pangs of starvation, you are ahead of 20 million people around the world.

If you attend church meeting without fear of harassment, arrest, torture, or death you are blessed more than almost 3 billion people in the world.

If you have food in your refrigerator, clothes on your back, a roof over your head and a place to sleep you are richer than 75% of this world.

If you have money in the bank, in your wallet, and spare change in a dish someplace you are among the top 8% of the worlds wealthy.

If your parents are married and still alive, you are very rare.

If you hold up your head with a smile on your face and are truly thankful you are blessed because the majority can, but do not.
If you can hold someones hand, hug them or even touch them on the shoulder, you are blessed because you can offer a healing touch.

If you can read this message you are more blessed than over 2 billion people in this world who can not read anything at all.

You are blessed in ways you may never even know.

Whilst clearing and tidying today I founds these notes scribbled down. Mainly collected over the past year for my personal practice and teaching aids. Mainly from Yasmin Boland an astrologer in Aus whose work I always find inspirational. see her at

I think these are well worth sharing and for you to use in your practice.

We choose our joys and sorrows long before we experience them. It is important to acknowledge the power of your subconscious.
You do not lose your peace because of circumstances but because of the struggle you create in your mind between what you think should be and what really is. To be accepting is not about being passive. It is to be aware of reality and to start working from there. Continue Reading »

OM TAT SAT – universal truth

July 16th, 2008

Be mindful in how your spending your energy. See it as something precious and make it an expression of how you feel. We can easily take our world for granted. There is a beauty that can be found in the ordinary day to day. The day to day normality and routine become special when we perform our duties with total involvement and with love. There is a richness in the quality of our normal life that is much greater than any financial reward that we might be striving for. Continue Reading »

The idea behind the pod cast is to offer the opportunity to return to a class or catch up with a session that you may have missed. Also to assist in a self practice at home or to take on holiday.
This class is from a general class for students who are familiar with fluid yoga postures done in sequence. It is not for beginners, but those with general a good level fitness and an open attitude will be ok.

The recordings are spontaneous and have personal reference’s either to students, adjustments or comments on the energy within the group.
Because the recordings are live the sound quality will vary. All background music that you may hear is compilation of music from Cds of Shiva Rea. These can be purchased through my web site.

Start by getting comfortable in savasana and follow the class.
Always practice yoga on an empty stomach.

This is an initial try out. Please feed back comments

If you have problems downloading the podcast using Internet Explorer for Windows try using right-click and then Save Target As from the pop-up menu. See also podcast help

I am always amazed by what the universe provides. In a forced day off waiting for the boiler man to come and fix my heating I came across this article. Sometimes we find ourselves in a muddle, a muddle being a place of uncertainty. I like what the author says about people making choices made out of fear. Read on if your in a muddle.

Gypsy Masala

October 11th, 2007

Gypsy Masala – a story of dreams is one of my favorite quick reads. It’s a take on many hindu stories and follows the path of a family in transit. Anyone who has been on a retreat with me will be familiar with Chapter 12 which I often read out to groups in the closing meditation. It teaches us about hopes and dreams and guides us in following our hearts desire.
